If you missed the memo, I joked that Captain should have called Anchor 'Mermaid' if he had been a daughter. Because Captain already had an anchor tattoo, then his son got called Anchor XD So if he'd had a girl maybe he'd have called her Mermaid after his mermaid tattoo XD

So I drew a female!Anchor but the design was freaking ADORABLE I decided I wanted to keep her as a separate character! So I fiddled around with some clothing, slapped a different colour pallet over it and voila: butterfrogmantis.deviantart.co… we have Anchor's sister instead I guess

Captain, who seems to like nicknames (Harry, Skiffer, Anchs - etc) calls Mermaid 'Mermay' occasionally because it's cute and she was born in May at some point XD (Miiiiiiight be a slight reference to the drawing challenge some artists are doing )

I don't know how it works engine form, but Mermaid was a premature baby hence the extremely small size. The doctor's fought their hardest to save her, they almost lost her at one point, but the little bab pulled through like a fighter When she was allowed out, Captain decided the first thing all good babies of Barnett's need is a bit of sea air XD Despite protests and suggestions from his friends, and jealousy from Pirate (who's not allowed in Captain's boat) the coast guard took the wee lass on a small trip - making fully sure that she was safe and secure in the papoose the whole time

I mean Anchor got bitten by a shark cause Captain didn't keep an eye on him but go off I guess :/
