Description
Finally finished a full body ref! Hopefully I can keep this steam going, heaven knows I have the time for it now since classes are to be held online :/This is Valien, a very powerful alteration archmage from Cyrodill. He's a primary antagonist for my Elder Scrolls comic, and he's quite good at it.
The story itself is very unrelated to the canon ingame plot and characters, so it's been fun having such a ridiculously OP villain for the protagonists to face xwx
Personality wise, he's a serious person and very business oriented. He can be blunt and rather apathetic, but he's got a great and unexpectedly dry sense of humor. Despite his villainous role in the story, he's not completely removed from relationships and actually grows fond of particular people rather easily. He's also pretty self important and generally dismissive of all authority or anyone else he deems in his way. He's an avid archaeologist and bird lover, he owns his own business as a contractor for excavations and build sites.
Below the line is some background info on him, but it might contain spoiler territory for the story itself!
Originally from a well known house from Chorrol, Valien is a powerful mage who specializes in Alteration magic and mysticism.
He a bastard child of his Imperial (Colovian) father and an Altmer mistress. Because of this, he had a very strained relationship with his family and notably his half brother, which lead to an eventual horrible event within the family by Valien's hands. His family produced naturally gifted mages, mainly healers, but Valien was in leagues of his own, finding great dedication to Alteration.
(While I know the canon lore says that any child of two different race usually inherits from the mother, I really like the concept of mixed 'breeding' and any issues that arise from that so I took liberties with headcanons
His primary ability is actually Telekinesis, which is a huge plot factor of the story. In the story's canon, it's the most difficult, and often regarded as the most useless skill to learn, due to how taxing it is on the body with so little payoff. However, Valien has an ungodly amount of control and power over the skill. Rather than small objects, he is able to drag and toss adult sized men with ease, or most notably, freeze them in place or force them to their knees.
This really bothers one of the protagonists, Eleanora, who is a very dedicated and talented mage, because she can't fathom how someone can become so powerful. She becomes very fixated on learning his secrets despite being so scared of him.
His fighting style is definitely glass canon, because his pure power output is so taxing and physically dangerous on his body, he tries to end fights as soon as possible.
The story will actually explore a lot of his tactics and weak points. He doesn't have much experience or practice in any of the other school of magicka besides Restoration.Β
edit: updated the ref with a bit better detail and some headshots!

Thank you so much!! I wanted a more dashing 'Cyrodil' look rather than how rugged Skyrim is!
She's a long time pet, hard to draw though!
