Description Here's where I've been spending my days: it's the last major interior set for part one of "The Toaster With TWO BRAINS", a mildly interactive illustrated story for my "Thrilling Tales of the Downright Unusual" project.

It's pretty far along, but not quite done; in fact I've just made a change to it since I rendered out this test.

The glassware and equipment's all in place and I've been working on the general lighting for the scene. Once I'd placed my light sources I added lamp objects to make sense of them - still a couple to go, in fact. I'll modify the lighting as needed for the individual illustrations. But this setup is showing me where in the room I could use some indistinct shapes in the shadows and some more clutter on the tabletop. I do love my clutter.

Then I'll be just a couple of props away from actually making pictures in here! Most of my remaining illustrations for the story take place in this room, so when they're done I'll definitely be peering at that light down the tunnel.

Well, a blender's very exciting, of course! But I have to make sure that I exhaust all the dramatic possibilities of toasters before I try to branch out into other kitchen appliances. I'd hate to overreach myself!
