Description
Here, in what seems to be my continuing quest to repurpose the t-shirt designs I did at Saga Shirts ([link] ), I've spun out a new celtic knotwork mandala image based on my knotty skull and crossbones design.Pirates, or poison? Maybe a graveyard marker that tells no tales, but might contain something more interesting than bones. A verdigrised doorway to a bocor's house in Tim Powers' "On Stranger Tides"? An absinthe label that makes no bones about it? You'll have to decide. I'm on the porch with some lemonade, after this one.
Harrrrr.

That is beyond cool. Is there any possible way I could get your permission to let me have that tatooed?

Hi! One of your deviations is featured in my journal on the theme of "skull & crossbones." I chose yours
, & and handful of others (out of thousands, literally, that I looked at) because I very much liked it. Thank you very much for sharing your art with us. I appreciate you! The link to my journal is below. If for some reason you do not want it featured
, let me know and I will remove it. Beautiful work! Thanks!

THAT is stunning work of art! Seriously, really creative to combine celtic knotwork and the age old image of skull and crossbones. All those details really make you look and examine the picture, perhaps in hope of finding a hidden meaning or clue of something greater from it. I know that I propably won't find anything, but it's always fun and exiting to look for it.
Uh, I really could stare at those knots for hours and get lost in their maze. This is truly awesome, perhaps just because you can't be sure of it's meaning. To warn, to mark certain spot, to be a key to something...
I think I'll fave this one and stare at it for a little longer, perhaps I get something out of it, maybe not a location of treasure chest, but you can't never know...

This is awesome. I was just wondering how I could have missed an artist of your caliber in the celtic field, but now I remember your work. I bought an 'actually, this is rocket science' mug for my rocket scientist friend a few years back. I love that you are doing such playful contemporary work in the celtic idiom.

I've kept this one in my message centre for a while now so I can keep coming back to stare at the detail you've put into it. I also like how you can 'feel' the materials - like the metal for example. It looks realistic enough to touch!

Yep, I do sort of seem to be leaning that way lately. I'm sure the pendulum will swing back before long, and I'm not talking about the Vincent Price kind, either .

hahahaha, i LOVE Vincent Price! My son is named Vincent and i know he was one of the reasons i went with that name...
i really like what you're doing! I does appear to me however, that on a whole you're more interested in sci-fi than celtic
mysticism...so are you (like) Wiccan or is it just fun to do knotwork?

If the romans hadn't invaded the Celtic Empire perhaps we would have seen a few shisr with a jolly roger like this as well.
