Description
This is one of the forty illustrations from my upcoming book, Patently Absurd - the Files of the Retropolis Registry of Patents. Here, the robot secretary Violet has started to think she may be followed.
This one's unusual for the book. In most cases I'm not wrapping text around the art this time because that's way more complicated in
an eBook edition. But I have done it here, and in a couple of other places.
The book's now funding on Kickstarter at this prestigious address: www.kickstarter.com/projects/1β¦

Great art but I never know where to put it, is it Dieselpunk or already Atompunk? I mean it looks like 40/50s retro scifi.

if you want to get technical you can ask: what is the primary fuel source? if the answer is fissible materials then it's atompunk, if it'sΒ petrol then dieselpunk.

Huh, yes that is one way to deduce it. I guess I will just make a folder called retro scifi and put his art in there XD

I don't think BWS art can be categorized as either Dieselpunk or Atompunk. It's more Retro-Futurism: the world of tomorrow as seen through the visionary design of the 30's.

More 20's-30's, though you can make an argument for the 40's. As to what to call it, I don't really care for labels. But I can see your problem when it comes to filing .
