For some reason I like to draw them sad. And I never expected to actually finish this.Mostly done by mouse.

noticed that AppleJack only cries in two episodes,
I wonder why she hardly cries.

One reason might be the, for the most part, upbeat tone of the series. Another reason might be her rather unfortunate lack of screen time.

Aww. Thats sad. Seeing that she was the only one out of all the main cast that wanted to go to the gala for unselfish reasons. She went to raise money for the farm to fix it up, she would be dissapointed.

As for the mouse part. It's not that hard. And the path tool makes it even easier.
But I guess it's still not comparable to a tablet.

I never intended to finish it. It started out as an avatar (i.e. just the head). But for some reason I decided to add her body and even her dress. Once I was done with that I played around with the lighting and went for something more... vivid.
The first draft looks rather pale in comparison. Literally.

Truth to be told - I didn't have a story in mind when I drew this.
I just wanted to draw her Gala manestyle. And I also like to draw 'em sad.
So I guess it's up to the beholder to think of a reason. ^_^
