Description
After I had done the lines of my recent drawings - I felt like wanting to draw some movie inspired stuff - , I wanted to do some color & light practice on a bust of a Vastatosaurus. Finding out the colors wasn't always easy to judge from the Youtube screenshots, because there they appeared a bit grayish due to the direct light, But when the V-Rex was in the shadow, or the camera close to it, then the colors appeared to be a green with sometimes a blue or black tinge. At the beginning I was trying to find out the right Photoshop brushes for me, because I rarely work with that program, so I used the background for testing purposes.
This Vastatosaurus Rex might be out on a rather misty day as he / she walks along the lush jungle somewhere on Skull Island. Keeping a vigilant glint in the eyes, the V-Rex surveys its territory, which is fiercely protected by any adult as it offers a hunting ground or safe nesting sites for females, that will bring the next generation into this wilderness.

Thank you much
I find creature design to be a very fascinating field in art and after watching the movie again I felt hyped to do some drawing practice.

It's always interesting to see how something would evolve had it lived past extinction.

There are a lot of cool creatures in it.

Unfortunately, I don't have that book, but I got it suggested by someone else, who has it.
I may consider to get that book, but I will see.
