Splinter has grown from this experience, learnt some things about himself and has come to terms with who he is and what sort of life he is now living. And he's realised that he's actually fine with that change is hard, it always is, but sometimes it's a blessing in disguise.

I hope every-one enjoyed my little story. I thought it'd be interesting to write something to show Splinter's transition from orphaned rat into loving father.

As I said on the first page, for a while I was going to abandon this story because I didn't think any-one would like it. I'm so happy that some of you enjoyed it as much as you did. You encouraged me to keep going and finish it. Perhaps one day I'll do another short story if I feel the urge to.
As for those who've come late I hope you've enjoyed the story as well
I've never done a comic like this, so I'm really grateful for every-one's support. thank you so much!

Raphie is safe, the family is together again, and Splinter has made peace within himself. It's time for some well deserved sleep in the warm nest
