Splinter has grown from this experience, learnt some things about himself and has come to terms with who he is and what sort of life he is now living. And he's realised that he's actually fine with that
change is hard, it always is, but sometimes it's a blessing in disguise. I hope every-one enjoyed my little story. I thought it'd be interesting to write something to show Splinter's transition from orphaned rat into loving father.
I really want to thank every-one who left comments and feedback on these pages, you guys are the best
As I said on the first page, for a while I was going to abandon this story because I didn't think any-one would like it. I'm so happy that some of you enjoyed it as much as you did. You encouraged me to keep going and finish it. Perhaps one day I'll do another short story if I feel the urge to.
As for those who've come late I hope you've enjoyed the story as well
I've never done a comic like this, so I'm really grateful for every-one's support. thank you so much!
Raphie is safe, the family is together again, and Splinter has made peace within himself. It's time for some well deserved sleep in the warm nest

The scene Idea I have features them as their teenaged form, and I have another idea that would take place around aged 10 or so. XD I dunno what I'd do for a front cover to be honest. I think the story is too short to really deserve one.

So still young huh? It would be interesting though I tend to like them as present selves. Still it'll be interesting to see. The story maybe short but it had a lot of emotinal impact to many. I really hope you do more comics because this was just the sweetest thing ever! Seriously, you have to be the first person who has ever done a comic devoted to Splinter. The fact that Raph got a piggy back ride from him overloaded my cute senses. Also, how ecstatic Mikey is at seeing Raph, just utter win!~

XDD I loved it in the episode "Tales of Leo" How everytime Splinter and Leo started moving again in the sewers Splinter would sling him onto his back despite Leo having a perfectly good pair of legs himself XDD Splinter loved carrying his children around when they were little and he was still able to, I wanted to use this in this comic.
And of course Raph and Mikey are best friends 4evars XDDD something I just love to bits

Absolutely wonderful... I loved every bit of it. When I saw the first page, I knew this was something to keep an eye on... The emotions shown in Splinter's body language plucked at my heart strings when he thought Raphael was dead.
The last two panels just say it all... what a wonderful new little family.
