The golden tabby hissed, his ice blue eyes blazing a cold blue fire as he stepped forward the two rouges, Brownfoot and Gingerpaw behind him. His long and thin black claws were flexed and buried into the ground. "Twistedstripes, calm down,"Brownfoot meowed to the angered deputy, who merely ignored him. Twistedstripes crouched low to the ground, his tail lashing and fur bristeled. The two rouges were cowering besides a large boulder with wide eyes, and the deputy could see their fear as clear as daylight. And that pleased him.

Their pelts brushed against each other, and he felt himself have the same feeling of embarrassment flood over him. "I do love you too, Maple.."he murmured.
