Description
Since this concept has been on fire lately with my commissioners, I decided to go back and update the older ref sheet as it's evolved a lot since then. It's just a bit more streamlined and explains its morphing process a little better. The legs are no longer chopped off after the kneecaps and the 'energy arms' are now glowy strands instead of the floating disk things. Same deal with the docks below. The entire look of the neurosentries is that of someone who's been imprisoned within their own bodies and forced into combat by unseen forces. It also functions as an intimidation tactic, to literally see someone bound and gagged while performing like a fully functional soldier ready to die for their orders. Despite the obvious look of punishment, they are heavily equipped and furious as hell and shouldn't be reckoned with. Neurosentries are incredibly handy as you can turn almost anybody into one and they immediately become skilled fighters with no prerequisite training.
Also, one super important thing I forgot to mention in the ref sheet is that soft shading is ideal. Trying to do anything more complicated than what I depicted here will screw with the details on their bodies. Neurosentries also work best against dim/dark backgrounds as brighter ones cause heavy contrast and lots of painful squinting.Β

if neurosentry are meant be soldiers that follow any order then what you think the neuromaid variant might be for ?

I designed it that way so it's easier to do TF sequences, plus it doubles as an instant way to turn others into neuros (though that's questionably overpowered). This probably affects the sci-fi part a lot, but as a morph, it's an inherently magick-based process and makes up for the lack of understanding on how to construct one practically. Transformations/morphs are almost always impossible to pull off without magick, and when done without it, there is almost always severe complications, pain, even death.
In the future, I might try to clear this logic up as people tend to get confused.

Wanted to ask something with how cool this concept is: are neurosentries free to use as results in stories?

That's an interesting science fiction concept. Using live subjects as a host for some sort of weaponised "straightjacket", creating a quasi-robotic symbiote. This looks like something a dystopian society would make, perhaps using convicts and POWs. I mean, it would be a heck of a lot more efficient (and arguably unethical), to make use of them in this manner, rather than leaving them in a prison, or killing them off, which would be a waste of valuable human resources (or alien resources depending on what species this host is).
I wonder what role does the host play in the operation of the neurosentry. Doesn't seem that the neuroshot has much to gain from his/her body, given that the arms and legs are bound. Maybe the brain is converted into the neuroshot's control center? Makes me wonder what happens if the host is separated, assuming that is even possible, since the body could be very well be assimilated with the neurosentry's physiology.
These would fit pretty well in law enforcement roles. The lights on his/her body could be used for signaling, in a manner similar to the emergency lights of a police car.Β I hope these things can turn off the lights on their bodies when needed, since it says they are designed for "stealth". You don't want toΒ stand out when trying to sneak about.

Monolith Ultra's lore is interesting - magick is still a phenomenon on Earth, and morphs, which are a branch of banned magick, is kind of a forbidden fruit. Their efforts to recreate the headcleaner was not very successful, but due to their constant experimentation and desire to emulate alien tech, they end up developing enough ideas to formulate competent tech of their own. Without going too far into the lore for now, neurosentries are very much kept under wraps from the public eye. They are popular in the underground and often acquired for unscrupulous purposes.
Neurosentries are morphs, so the hosts in question are transformed. This is a lot more severe and intrusive than just being encased in something. As for their minds, its essential for neurosentries to be soldiers before anything else, so taking commands and following on them is paramount.
Neuros and other drone concepts follow with an old idea I've had about prisoners being used for labor instead of being left in cages. It's unethical but would probably be a better use for them. :v

A terrifying force to be on the wrong side of indeed.
I like theΒ refreshed cannon design, really looks like it could punch through solid walls.
The mouth area's a bit uncanny to me though; i know it's supposed to resemble a ballgag, but my mind keeps
flipping between that and a glaring third eye.

I am absolutely in love with the concept and design. Just has this gorgeous aesthetic to it, not to mention pushes quite a few buttons. Eager to see more of em in the future!
