Description
Here's the creatively entitled script that approximates the method I was using for a good part of the 'Flu' series. If the result doesn't look like much, just increase the size of the transforms. I usually begin with the Bipolar, then fine-tune with the oscilloscope. So, obviously, you'll need to have both the 'Bipolar' and the 'Oscilloscope' plugins installed.
If you've got any questions or comments, just shoot!
EDIT: I initially and accidentally uploaded a test version of the script, I've got the correct one available for download now. Sorry 'bout that!

I used your script, along with my own experimentation, to make FREE Blue-Cream Fractal Texture. It's useful for anybody who wants a "stock" abstract background for their graphics. It's public domain, no strings attached!

*bangs head repeatedly*
For the longest time I haven't been able to get this to work. I have the latest plugins, but everytime I run this script I only ever get this tiny dot in the center. What version is this meant for?

I have a link in my journal to the official plugins download page.

go to sourceforge.net and search "apophysis", it should be the first or second link.

Okay I've got the plugins.. but the programs say they don't exist. Like they are in the folders, but if i try a script with the oscilloscope it doesn't work.

Put them within a folder called "plugins" and make sure that folder is in your main Apophysis program folder. If that's all in place it should work.

It says the source position for 20, 25 is unknown.

Could you type out the error message exactly as you see it? (also make sure that you have both the oscilloscope and the bipolar plugins in the plugins folder)

I think I fixed it... but all the deviations come up as a white dot in the center o.O

That shouldn't be either... can you describe exactly where you've put the plugins?

Asphyziata In reply to CabinTom [2007-11-29 04:50:20 +0000 UTC]
Program Files > Apophysis.
But when I downloaded the program it didn't make a folder when I unzipped it it made just the program so that have two separate folders.
Program Files > Apop 3-D Hack & Program Files > Apop 2.07 Beta.

CabinTom In reply to Asphyziata [2007-11-29 05:10:45 +0000 UTC]
so the path is something like this: program file > Apophysis > plugins > bipolar ? (make sure "plugins" is spelled correctly... it should work...)

Asphyziata In reply to CabinTom [2007-11-29 05:17:44 +0000 UTC]
It goes Program Files > Apophysis. Then there is a folder next to the program that says 'Apophysis 2.06 3-D Hack'.

Ok, make sure that you place the original Apophysis.exe in your Apophysis programs folder (same applies to the 3D hack). To access from your desktop just create shortcuts. Once that's done, if you have you plugins folder also in the Apophysis folder, you should be up and rolling. I hope I'm helping...
