So way back when I first started this new account, I did a sketch about the possibility of Ruben having a part time job as a waiter in an old fashion 1950's styled diner. It was a cute idea and I admittedly went into a phase of forgetting it, remembering it and then back and forth until now where I drew a whole sketch dump regarding a lot of the old ideas I had about this idea.

However one idea I can't draw on this picture is where, if at all, Ruben's diner job fits in the series' timeline. My original plan during that dreaded origin story phase was to have Ruben start out as a diner waiter, then struggle to juggle that with the part time job of being a hero and then at the end starts that company that I established with my friend; Brandon. And if that process seems clunky to you, now you know why the origin story phase was such a burden on me assuming you didn't already.

But onto the actual sketches. The first one is of the boss of the diner; a foxy old woman by the name of "Dinah Drivington. Dive" (yes, I am clever, thank you).

Then there's the outside of the diner, which honestly looks like it has cat ears. And that's the kind of rare mistake that I love, because that's just so damn cute.

Next we have 3 triplet characters that I've been trying to design for literally ages now. You remember the Bimbettes from Beauty and the Beast? Well, I got inspired by them, like, 2 years ago and I wanted to design my own version of them for literally ages. I couldn't even come up with decent names for these 3!

The only thing I could come up with is that they'd be the other staff members in this job with Ruben. Thus turning it into a version of the Bimbettes if they didn't swoon over a douchebag like Gaston and instead fell for a guy like, I don't know, Dave the Barbarian? Ruben's whole "musclebound figure, sensitive soul" routine was always based off of him and my actual self in real life, sort of like how Savannah is just a melange of every villainous waifu I ever had a thing for.

And speak of the she-devil! You are not mistaken, folks: Ruben and Savannah do in fact work in the same diner. This was a concept I thought of more recently because instead of just just dumping villains into jail only for them to break out again later, I and a few other friends in my Brainstorm Entourage figured C.A.S.E. could be an agency that makes villains repay their dept to society via community service and hard labor to help make them repay whatever damages they caused. And Savannah was put to work here because, again, Omayra would tell Ruben something along the lines of "Your'e the one dating a super-villain, Ruben: you take care of her". Thus leading into a scenario where Savannah works with Ruben at a diner. And to add insult to irony: Ruben's the assistant manager of the place, so she basically has to listen to him.

As for that dialogue they're having, it was either this or Ruben says "Hey, you don't like it? McGuffin's always hiring."

And last but not least is a random sketch of pineapple. Because free space, am I right, folks? Goodnight, everybody. Tip your waitresses.
