I made this for for guessing my new obsession/collection! believe it or not I haven't drawn a sailor yet and sailor moon so happens to be one of my favorite shows. I hope you like it, I spent a good amount of time on this with my rusty hand. I re-drew the skirt about 3-4 times
Im trying to refine my semi-realistic style with photoshop. Only a random fire picture was used for a reference, everything else is from my noggin....which hurts.Now that i'm getting back into the groove of this thing called ddraaww-inng there should be more art coming soon....unless I get a job then you will have to wait XD

UPDATE: I fixed the background because it was bothering me, I felt the original took away from the figure rather than accentuate the colors, I also received a new watermarking program hence new watermark.

Sailor moon is indeed a quite... addictive anime! And sometimes do a good art needs redraw... when not hace to do a new art instead

Very good use of light in this piece! Although the anatomy needs some work and I think the overall picture is a little dull looking, try adding some hard highlights and shadows and more defined edges next time. I think it will pop more

I couldn't agree with you more, I haven't had a chance to work on anything in 3 years...not even one sketch so my skills are rusty. For me the use of colors aren't as bright as I could normally achieve with traditional work, I am not as adept to digital works as I wish I could be. what is making it so dull is the fact that I used very low saturated colors for her skin and I needed to go a few notches higher, in consequence would also have to go a notch higher on the highlight to still give that glow effect. once I get back into my art groove I think it will be re-painted
