Cute, aren't they? :
:No, we don't keep them in there - they actually have pretty big tanks, but Em was cleaning them and decided to use these little cups to keep them in for a few minutes.

aww how cute! You might want to cover the cups though.. bettas are great jumpers. I know from experience. Luckily, I've been around to quickly scoop 'em up and plop them back in water.

Heh, these guys aren't really jumpers, (well, only have the one now...) but Mom had a female betta that always liked to leap out of her temporary tank whenever she had her bowl cleaned... Managed to go down the disposal once, freaked us all out. O_o

the girls can be worse jumpers.. but I wouldn't risk it if I were you. I know of male jumpers. My sister's betta died that way because she forgot to recover her tank after doing a water change.
