Always wished they had done more cards.

I totally agree, Ray. I didn't get to do too much color work in my WEG days. When I got the chance I jumped on it! Dasha Defano seemed to become somewhat of a favorite among players.

I thought you might like to see this.

I wish we saw the markings for her helmet.

Thank you for the tip, John. Always nice to see how others spin my work. *smile* Hmmm...I see that THIS Dasha has the facial tattoo I added to her after I got the art back from WEG. Hmm...does seem, however, to be on the wrong side of her face. As for her helmet...and any stylings...perhaps I will do a piece of art that addresses that issue!

Ok, fixed the mistake with the tattoos.

My WEG days were alot of fun, Leo...and I consider myself fortunate to have gotten the chance to add to the Star Wars canon. But the part the brings me the most satisfaction is the thought that my work mattered to the dedicated game-players.

caesar120 In reply to lordmagnusen [2011-04-14 15:44:03 +0000 UTC]

It's a watercolor piece. About 6 by 4 inches. Think about half of the originals have been sold over the years...but still have her. It has a decade-old pencil marked price on it of $100.

Awesome! Thius particular image is slightly different than the one that got published in the Darkstryder game. I added the facial tattoos as (unfortunately) an afterthought.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

lordmagnusen In reply to caesar120 [2011-04-14 14:55:58 +0000 UTC]

Yeah; she didn't have the tattoos in the Darkstryder card; but there were references in Wookieepedia to her species having them sometimes... so what I came up with with the GM's nod was that they got the tats to mark a great achievement... so my character got one on her forehead after (I don't recall exactly) becoming squadrom leader, or after blowing up a huge-ass imperial ship.

MagnificentSamurai [2011-04-11 17:15:59 +0000 UTC]

And this was used in the Darkstryder campaign set? I too liked that you'd use more aliens than we saw/see in the movies.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

caesar120 In reply to MagnificentSamurai [2011-04-11 17:28:04 +0000 UTC]

Yes...I remember the Darkstryder assignment because I got to use color. Twas fun! I have a group of the cards in the Gallery...but "FlyGirl" is one of the few originals I still have. You may notice that I added facial tattoos AFTER publication. Things moved along pretty quickly under the pressure of deadline, so that kinda detail was an after-thought.

Hmmm...I'm unfamiliar with that series. "FlyGirl" was done for a Star Wars RPG card series, and was originally printed without the facial tattooing.

In the comic story Yoko Tsuno and her friends meet aliens that look like humans only they have light blue skin - go google and youll see
