One of the most beautiful pieces I've seen inspired by a Batman movie, and as a longtime fan since a kid in 1989, I've seen a lot!

Thank you, Sil. *smile* A simple composition...but an effective illustration. I'm pleased that you hold in such high regard!

I always thought Keaton was the best Batman. The reason being because he's so unassuming.
I guess that's the reason many people protested against putting him into the movie in the first place, because they couldn't see him in the role.
But that's why he's so fucking perfect; You wouldn't suspect him.
I'm not a big fan of Christian Bale and his acting... not to mention that infamous voice.
That's another thing that's cool about Keaton. He just sort of sounded naturally threatening in the role, whereas Bale sounded like he had a lung cancer.

Great rendition. Is that crow quill and ink work? No matter the medium, it's a great piece of art.

That's a great likeness of the two. Is that crow quill and ink work? No matter the medium, looks great!

If I remember correctly, I used a drawing pen to do the linework. But I can see where you'd get the impression it was quilled. It does have that quill-and-ink quality.

As a Batman fan, I really enjoy this illustration and I especially love the contrast between Batman and Vicki / light and dark. Great work!

I have a deep appreciation for a well-executed monochromatic image. Color is so naturally powerful that it takes alot of effort to produce something comparable in black and white. I glad you like the piece!

Thanks, Wolfie! I didn't even remember that I'd done this piece until I found this copy of it in a file folder a few days ago.

I'm more or less speechless. This is fantastic. Batman just comes out of that deep black background like he should and she looks gorgeous and pure in comparison to his darkness. I just keep looking back at it and feeling that same sense of awe. Great great work.

Thanks, Mark! I found this copy last weekend when I was sorting through a folder in my filing cabinet. I must've sold the original at some point, because I'm pretty sure I haven't seem it among the rest of the art. I'm guessing this Batman piece was done circa 1990 and saw "publication" in the newsletter of a local science fiction group (of which I was a member). Glad you like it!
