I really liked this story. One of the many strong Star Wars Journal stories I got to illustrate. Thems was the DAYS!

Thank you, Valentina! I think this piece goes with "Test Of Will" and "Hold Tight". All three belonged to the same story in a Star Wars Adventure Journal.

Thanks, Julie! I think I was able to capture her nervous tension. I don't remember much about the story, but I do recall that she was the object of an imperial search. This impromptu career change was her effort to throw her hunters off the scent!

You're welcome.
By the way, last night I was flipping through both the "Dark Force Rising" and "The Last Command" sourcebooks (story research!) and noticed that at least one of your drawings was used in both. Considering how many illustrations each book has and the number of artists, to give two slots to a single drawing is pretty flattering!

Do you do the inkwash or the zip tone first?

Pencils...ink...then (in this case) light toner (Unishade), dark toner (Duotone)...and lastly, peel n' stick Ziptone (for her dress and two small pieces on the stormtrooper's helmet).
