BIOGRAPHY
Background:
tldr: old fart with a high school degree goes to college to redeem himself.

Ming was born in America, the only person in his immediate family that gained citizenship. He lived a life in between two countries. Ming came from a well to do family in China, but given the oppressive nature of his country, his parents wanted to send him to America. There were more opportunities there for him -- and in turn them, so when he was old enough to start school, Ming stayed with extended family and attended a decent public school. At his parents' request, he tried to keep on a strict academic track where most of his days should've been spent either religiously studying or improving his skillset in order to ensure he would be tailored for the major of his choice: computer science. However, the family he stayed with weren't very strict, so they allowed him free reign. Going from a semi-oppressive household into one where his results didn't really matter made him careless. He slacked and goofed off, spending time on games by claiming it was "vaguely related" to computer science.

Getting into college was easier said then done. Because he'd spent most of his time doing nothing, he was unable to stand out from the rest of the crowd. The gravity of his situation hit him, and on impulse, Ming lied to them, saying he'd been accepted to UCI. In an attempt to clean up his act, he tried immersing himself in self-study while juggling community college as well. At this point, he'd begun to develop a habit of finishing everything that was handed to him before doing anything else. It was detrimental to his health most of the time, as he'd forgo sleep in order to finish self-tests. But he was able to discover that he had some interest in cryptanalysis, finding it fun to decipher information. He continued to polish this by trying to decipher his own encrypted emails, getting a kick out of it whenever he was able to crack one. Ming continued this hellish cycle of academic torment in hopes of being able to transfer into UCI when he turned 19. However, when applications rolled around the following year, competition continued to be difficult, and he'd been rejected again. After having throwing away a year in community college, Ming angrily dropped-out, believing that continuing to learn on his own was more beneficial than another year of disappointment.

At the age of 22, he had a good grasp on analyzing patterns and decoding them; however, time was ticking down to doomsday -- his fake graduation date. he was always the type of person to worry internally, never wanting to show nervousness on the outside. But as the date loomed closer, he began to panic. Armed with only a high school diploma, he had to figure out a way to be successful. He had heard about a recent scandal in China, where a group of hackers had broken into a law firm to gain information that could influence stock price. Wanting to do something of that vein, he targeted a group of small law practices, attempting to break into their servers and steal encrypted information. Ming was able to take from one, but failed hacking into the other firms. Despite the failure, Ming spent days trying to crack the code. However, without being apart of the firm, doing so was near impossible -- or at least would take a substantial amount of time. And his earlier string of failed attempts didn't go unnoticed. His screwups finally caught up with him just as he was beginning to unravel the decryption.

At 24, Ming was looking at a fair amount of jail time... unless he accepted a proposal. All he had to was go to a military university, and his record would be wiped clean. Desperate to prevent his family from uncovering the lie that is his life, all he could do was agree.

Arc 2: Vegas

tldr: gambled, visited the erotic heritage museum, had a hand in almost killing a girl, visited trump hotel, ran away in a drug bus...

Arc 2: Minnesota

tldr: survivor's guilt hit hard. also he lifted a car so that's cool. there was a lot of acid™

tldr: he used to be so excited about college and now he's just... eh..

After the events, the SD went back to their daily lives. And through it all, he felt nothing but stifling monotony. They took exams, went to classes, and pretended to be normal students when he felt that they were anything but. It frustrates him that it feels like nothing's wrong, and that the whole world doesn't see the wool being pulled over their eyes. The SD seems to be doing good, but how they've been treated so far, being kept in the dark like this makes him want to lash out. He'll bite his tongue for now, but he's getting tired and impatient.

He's a genuinely nice person and is willing to lend an ear to your problems. The only bad thing is that he tends to say what he thinks you'd want to hear at that very moment, rather than what's truly on his mind. During his first year in c0's, he was excited to talk to everyone. Having been holed up in his room without getting to experience real college life™, everyone seemed exciting and foreign to him, so he made it a point to hit up everybody. But after the mission, he's slowly come to realize that some people are more trouble than they're worth. The appeal of reaching out and getting to know people's dimmed a bit for him -- especially now that he doesn't see his time here as some happy college dream. He'll still make it a point to be polite and get to know people, but his friends can see that he tried less than before. For those that he does talk to, he likes bantering and shit talking. A lot of the things that comes out of his rotten mouth though is just trash. He likes to dick around, especially with people he's comfortable with. He is pretty strong at feeling out how others feel toward him given how he's always so eager for that praise and validation. If he senses that he's doing something wrong, Ming tends to back off easily and become very apologetic.

He invests himself 100% into his work and prefers getting everything done in one fell-swoop, having learned from high school mistakes. Ming'll run himself into the ground without breaks, taking as many all-nighters as he needs in order to get this shit done. It takes someone practical to force him to chill. Ming has a difficult time diverting his attention across multiple tasks. So he tends to focus in on the current task at hand. Any distractions tend to freak him out and throw him off. If you wanna throw down, he'll throw down too. He used to be conflict adverse, but now he thinks sparring is one of the best ways to solve your problems. Sweat and talk shit out. Course, it doesn't always work out the way he wants it to... He can't keep his mouth shut and can talk your ear off. He'll can speak enough for both him and his conversation partner to the point where you'll probably hate him.

He's a kid, a mongrel, a baby, and a gremlin... Just immature af... He's vengeful and doesn't forgive very easily. It's difficult to get on his bad side, but crossing it makes him pull out all of the stops when it comes to fucking you over. When it comes to things he cares about, he's extremely stubborn and will usually never give into the other person, sticking to his guns. He is really fucking over the top and melodramatic. While he does care for what others think, when Ming feels hurt or betrayed, he'll aggressively see every thing from his point of view.

- Plushies -- he's won them a couple of times in arcades and sees them as proof of success
- Asian Food -- Being from the SGV, he's gotten exposed to the good stuff. The campus doesn't have any of this, so coming across a place like this is a guilty pleasure
- Morning Runs -- surprisingly has maintained this routine of being active in the mornings. And also a diet.
- Cane's -- while he's trying to cut back on fried foods, this is where he goes to for comfort food too. It's also one of the first places he's tried on campus.
