To me, the hands in the pockets represent growing up, leaving childhood. When I was a kid I would always touch and wave around and now that I am and young man I always walk with my hands in my pockets. It's as if that, looking to these soldiers, the little boy faces what he might ultimately become in a few years.

Very well taken photo, very symbolic and significant - being so close to war and a part of it, yet seeing it through a different perspective, through the eyes of a child.

..or perhaps he will end up the rebel.
A fantastic capture.
Easily a favorite...

This is such a moving photograph. It really strikes up powerful emotions. Not something that often happens. How very successful.

Thats so surreal, yet words can't describe the power it conveys. It has foggy afterglow that further enhances the surreal qualities while making it look
like something out of World War II. The boy has a feeling of preserved innocence. Like an infant torn from the womb of his mother caught in the horrors of a never
ending war, stuck on the frontline. Its pure, its simple. And yet it divulges everything that is wrong with the world.
Definet :fav: on this one.
I would love to see a print of this.

there is a simplicity to your images, which add to their power. Each time I reveal one, it causes me to sit back in my chair and soak in each quiet detail and each emotion. It often makes me wonder about you - your personality and philosophies - I can only guess, but it feels like you and your images might speak in similar ways.
