A lot of people are surprised when they ask me who my favorite superhero is and I say Darkwing Duck. People that know me aren't.

Funny story; Back when my uncle was really little, my dad used to call my uncle to him from outside, and my uncle would come running to him and run right into the screen door without seeing it. He did it to him multiple times until he actually broke the screen door, and after that my grandma wasn't having any more of it.

Yep, ol' D.W. is my favorite superhero; even beating out most "serious" superheroes like Superman or Batman. I'm also a sucker for cartoons, though, so that might have something to do with it.

DW is one of my favorite cartoons of old...right up there with Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (ok and Lilo and Stitch lol)

Those were all pretty good... "Buzz Lightyear" was pretty underrated in my opinion. It was downright hilarious, and I also like the "meta" sort of way it was the show that the Buzz Lightyear toy in "Toy Story" was supposed to be from...
Ironically, I've only ever eaten one of those jumbo lollipops you speak of, and it was when I saw "Toy Story" as a kid. Twilight-Zoney, ain't it?

Darkwing Duck is awesome! I always loved his costume, it's a lovely, weird cross between noir detective and the phantom of the opera.

Yep. D.W.'s look is actually patterned as a more colorful version of The Shadow's , which, like you said, was basically noir detective meets Phantom of the Opera.
I'm sure if Darkwing heard your compliments on his costume, it would go straight to his head.
