Okay, so my lineart for Link is pretty much finished. I might go through it a bit and correct things, but yeah, that's pretty much it. I spent a few hours, at least 4 hours working on this.I hope you guys like how this is turning out, and again, I can't wait to see what this thing will look like when it is finished! ^^
Btw, please don't judge too harshly, I'm not that great at anatomy as I said before, so I know I got a few things wrong, but I did the very best that I could... and for the record, Hands are FREAKING HARD!! XD

He's looking great Caleb. My only thing is that sword arm of his, it's the shirt. But other then that he looks awesome. ^^

Thank you Beaded. And yeah, I actually ended up changing his sword arm a bit. I'm not that great when it comes to fabric, in terms of how to draw it, so I try to use references when I can, and just use my gut feeling... though I did feel it was a bit off as well! XD I changed it, and even though it won't be perfect, it looks a bit better. I guess I'll just have to keep practicing it, and eventually I'll get the hang of it!

Looks pretty good for almost no human anatomy practice. His left shoulder (sword arm) looks a bit off, as well as the left leg. (Arm seems really stiff, and the left leg looks thicker than the right leg) but let a real artist help you with that or at least tell me I'm wrong, cause I'm not artistically inclined. I'm a musician.
but hot damnΒ that shield is awesome, sword looks nice too. Is this Link before or after they started putting him in tights/pants. Can't wait to see that colored and everything. :3
EDIT - OH, I forgot to say. Practice human anatomy! It'll be more helpful than anything else if you decide to go beyond making fan art!

Thank you, and yeah, I don't know too much about anatomy except for some of the most basic things, I just haven't practiced it enough to learn everything just yet. I'm gonna do more practices though cuz I really want to get better at this.
The arm, I did the best I could do on it, I'm not exactly sure how to loosen it up, but I think that for now, it'll be alright. The left leg though, I can't tell if it is thicker than the other leg simply because I have it turned away a bit, so naturally if your leg is turned it's going to seem a bit thicker, than the front, which would be the right leg. I'll try editing it though, just to make it look a bit better, and fit the piece a a little more.
I'm glad that you like the sword and shield though, because honestly... I had no idea how to do them! XD I looked up some references to get an idea of how it should look, and just went from there. I just did my best and hoped it'd turn out okay! ^^
And you're a musician too!? Cool, what do you play man? I play the guitar and trombone myself, but prefer the guitar the most though!
Oh, and fanart right now is simply a way for me to exercise my skill at drawing things, but the backgrounds are all original... I've never had to look up a fan based background, I just draw/paint whatever comes to mind. Unless if it's specific, then I'll look up something on the internet, but for the most part, the character is all that is fan based, and the background is my own original design. ^^

I play clarinet and saxophone. I'm actually getting a music ed. degree right now, I'll be learning more stuff soon. (sorry I didn't say more here, I kinda just woke up in the middle of the night. heading back to sleep now)
