Hey there guys, I told you that I'd draw more Lion King, and that's exactly what I did, and still plan to do. This painting may seem very very weird, some mistakes, and other things you could nit pick about, but quite frankly, I really like it, a lot!

This is, I believe, the very first digital painting I've ever done in photoshop from beginning to the end, from line art to finished render. This was/is a very huge learning curve for me, I had to basically look at a reference the entire time just to see if I was getting even a slight likeness of Simba, and while I was looking at the reference, I also made sure that I used my own style, that way I could make this my own. I learned a ton of new things, and I'm extremely excited about doing more Lion King art in the future, hopefully next time will be a full body shot, instead of these portraits that I've been doing.

This painting probably took me about 4-5 hours, maybe longer, but at least 4 hours to complete. I was tempted to hurry the process along by using Paint Tool Sai, but figured that I wouldn't feel that feeling of accomplishment if I used Sai, because I made it my mission to actually make a piece entirely in Photoshop, and that's what I did, and I'm very proud of it.

I hope you guys like this piece, I plan on doing another Simba painting, but whether as an adult or cub is still to be decided, but I do plan on having another Simba piece up in the hopefully near future.
