I have a couple more cruddy tutorials. xD It would be really appreciated. Chibi aren't the hardest thing to draw, yet my this tutorial is seeing 500x more acknowlegement than anything else in my gallery. Seriously guys, it's really disheartning to see that many of you fav this, yet don't take the time to look through my gallery. My gallery may not be great-- I wouldn't even really call myself an artist. But would it hurt for you to look through it? Dx
If it doesn't load, click download and it'll open up in a new window.
It might take a while to load.
This took weeks to finish, yet, why is it so unhelpful? It might have to do something with the fact that I'm not good at chibi myself. Maybe. Just maybe.
I'm sorry that it's so . . . Vague. There isn't much I could think of to add to it, sorry, :/ Chibi are so simplistic that there isn't much to explain about their make up. The only reason it's called Mega, LOL, is because . . . I guess I tried to briefly cover everything from sketching to CG. If there's anything you want more detail about, comment.
Ah D8 PS: Try not to draw to raid your gallery with chibi art. :/ As cute as they are, xD they're not really amazing.
Hope it helped, even a little bit.
Please ignore any spelling or grammar mistakes. I didn't take the time to edit it, due to the fact that it was lagging my computer.
PS: In case you're wondering why the "insolent" expression has "Haruki" crossed out, xD it's an inside joke about one of my OCs.

This is definitely one of the better chibi tutorials i've seen! ^_^ I think I'll collect it for later use. I really like your chibi style, it's more detailed and clean than most.
As you've stated, i'ma' see the rest of your gallery now too. ^_^

I had a question. When I was looking in your chibis in your gallery, I noticed that most of them had their hands int heir pockets or in peace poses, fists, or covered by sleeves. How would you draw just a normal hand in this style? I'm not good at tiny detailed fingers, so do you have any drawing tips for this?

Sorry, my reply is a bit late because I was busy with school. Here's an example of an open hand [link] : > The one on your let, in the red and black. I tend to draw Chibi hands pretty simplified.

is there ANY difference between cell shading and normal shading?
doesn't really look like it, course, I'm a noob at DETAILED coloring. D;

Cell shading is simply a type of shading. You use only hard lines, and no soft brushing to shade (: It's usually the shading used in anime.
Soft shading gives a lot more dimension but takes much more time and is usually used in promotional art but not in the animations themselves.

Thanks for the awesome tutorial, I couldn't have made this [link] without it. Or, I probably could've made some weird deformed creature that looked nothing like what I wanted.
