The 32X is the life support for the SEGA Genesis - Both literally and figuratively, literal as it had many wires plugged around like a machine to keep a brain-dead person alive, and figurative as it was a desperate attempt by SEGA Of America to prolong the Genesis' lifespan. The Japanese were not interested in the 32X as the Saturn had already been released by the time the 32X was introduced in their market. The 32X could do 32-bit graphics onto the Genesis, as well as experiment some early 3D effects on the console.
