Description
*** Click DOWNLOAD for the .PSD file!!!!!!!!!!!!! ****yawn* I finally finished this one!!! I wanted this to be colored by Mother's Day, but I guess my mother won't mind if it is a little late, especially since I messed up and wished her a Happy Mother's Day LAST Sunday, lmao. I guess better early than late, lol.
Anyway, my mother grew up around horses and had one of her own, named W. R. Wardance, but she just called him Dancer,
I had a lot of fun making the "fur" of the saddle pads, hehe. If you want to color this, the MANE and TAIL are on a separate layer for your convenience!!!!!! So is the signature if you want to MOVE it or CHANGE it, but you may NEVER REMOVE the signature!! By "change" I just mean that you need to somewhere say ON the picture that I made the lines,
(This is more of my notes for coloring him)
Dancer was a chestnut appaloosa with just a dusting of a "snowflake" blanket. Two "socked" hind legs up to his hocks. No socks on his front legs. He had the striped hooves as most appaloosas have. He had a white blaze. Long and thick tail. He did NOT have the "mottled" skin like most appaloosas have.
Now, I have to get some sleep and then work tomorrow, but after that, I will be starting the colors for this piece,

You can color this as long as it stays on DeviantArt.com only and that you give "credit"to me for the line art part,

I was wondering if I could digitally paint it, print it out, and give it to my friend as a random present? She's got a cute QH/Arab mare that I wanted to color. Would that be OK? I'll keep the credit and show you the finished product!

It reminds me of Thunder, the pony I used to ride.
How can people draw like this? Lol. I use a tablet, and I still can't manage it! XD
Gorgeous work. I would give it a shot, but seing as how I have never attempted a horse with a reference, yeah.

YES YES YES YES I am sooo happy!! I was really dissapointed because it is a photoshop file and i have Gimp. But Gimp opened it!!Sooooo I can now use your wonderful line art!!!!!!!!!!

Candrence In reply to randomkiwibirds [2009-07-18 01:43:27 +0000 UTC]
Yay!!! I'm so glad to hear that!! I knew that people would compare GIMP with Photoshop, but I didn't think it would open "PS-only" files!
Lately, I was ALMOST deciding if I wanted to make versions of my art that would work in MS Paint (like, be able to use tools like the Paint Bucket for easy filling) but to be perfectly honest, I just kinda don't want my lines colored in MS Paint. MS Paint comes with Windows... and it is a rarity to find an "MS Paint artist" that can make something look really nice in it. So, I know GIMP is free, but that still requires the person to download and install it, AND it has way better tools/features than MS Paint. But I'm so glad that my files open in GIMP,
