Description
*** Click DOWNLOAD for the .PSD file!!!!!!!!!!!!! ****yawn* I finally finished this one!!! I wanted this to be colored by Mother's Day, but I guess my mother won't mind if it is a little late, especially since I messed up and wished her a Happy Mother's Day LAST Sunday, lmao. I guess better early than late, lol.
Anyway, my mother grew up around horses and had one of her own, named W. R. Wardance, but she just called him Dancer,
I had a lot of fun making the "fur" of the saddle pads, hehe. If you want to color this, the MANE and TAIL are on a separate layer for your convenience!!!!!! So is the signature if you want to MOVE it or CHANGE it, but you may NEVER REMOVE the signature!! By "change" I just mean that you need to somewhere say ON the picture that I made the lines,
(This is more of my notes for coloring him)
Dancer was a chestnut appaloosa with just a dusting of a "snowflake" blanket. Two "socked" hind legs up to his hocks. No socks on his front legs. He had the striped hooves as most appaloosas have. He had a white blaze. Long and thick tail. He did NOT have the "mottled" skin like most appaloosas have.
Now, I have to get some sleep and then work tomorrow, but after that, I will be starting the colors for this piece,

Hehe, thank you very much, A lot of work went into trying to get all of the tack correct (and I'm hoping I succeeded, lol) because since this is a gift for my mother and she grew up jumping horses and taking English riding lessons, she'd point out a mistake in an instant,
. It has actually been a little disheartening even just showing my recent attempts at "realistic" (I used "s because a pegasus isn't exactly realistic, lmao) horses because she always finds something wrong!
Like, that large Clydesdale portrait I made a while back, she said something about a buckle on the halter would've technically been on the other side of the head (unless the halter had a buckle on both sides?). Ok, so she couldn't find anything wrong with my "Chase the Wind" picture, but I found my own mistake in that one, lmao (wings are technically "up-side down" lol) but from my "Forest Ruler" picture, she said the hind hooves "don't look quite right" to her, . She keeps pointing out that she's not critiquing from an artistic view, but equestrian since she grew up around horses (lucky,
)
ANYWAY, I'm done ranting, lmao. Good luck with your computer, lmao. But I look forward to seeing your picture,

Hahaha, I'm glad that you like my manes/tails, lmao. I usually end up hating all of mine, lmao. I like to emphasize the fact that I keep the mane/tail on a separate layer so that when someone decides to color my lineart that they can draw their own on, lol. It also usually takes me three tries before I get a "version" I like enough to post, lmao.

Be sure to always credit me for the line art
Show me a link to the completed picture
It must stay on dA unless you ask me for permission once I've seen the completed picture.

I will. Hey do you mind if I use your Dancer lineart on a SIM game?

Candrence In reply to Toxic-Horses [2009-05-10 12:56:49 +0000 UTC]
Use, like color it and then use for the SIM game, I'm assuming? I am fine with that, just so long as I still get to see the colored version, Credit back to me for the lineart would also still be nice,

How much was that? What do you think of my newest photos?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Candrence In reply to Toxic-Horses [2009-05-10 14:04:21 +0000 UTC]
Hahaha, well, Adobe doesn't offer CS3 anymore, just their newest CS4 and that is $699 (not $6.99, lmao, I wish) or $199 upgrade if you happened to already have CS3.
BUT, look up an art program called GIMP. I am told that it is as close to Adobe Photoshop as you can get for a free program, hehe.
And that puppy turned out SOOOOOOOOOOO cute!!!!!! What program do you use for digital pictures?

Toxic-Horses In reply to Candrence [2009-05-10 14:09:11 +0000 UTC]
I have GIMP.. GIMP 2.4.6. Thanks I have had GIMP for about 7 months.. i had to re upload a new version of it becuas my computer took a shit and I lost all my work GRR lol, so i have had this new version for about 4 months.. I think.
WOOOW That is spendy!!!
Do you do Consupions(SP)?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Candrence In reply to Toxic-Horses [2009-05-10 14:13:43 +0000 UTC]
Consupions?? Umm, do you mean commissions? If so, I have not started any commissions mostly because I am so far behind on other art that I have promised to other people (gifts, contest prizes, etc) and I'm worried that no one would spend money for my artwork, hehe.
Maybe once I get caught up (one of these years, lmao) I might think about calculating a reasonable payment listing, hehe.

Candrence In reply to Toxic-Horses [2009-05-11 05:41:18 +0000 UTC]
Hmmmm, I don't even know who does commissions and such, Plus, I know that even most artists that do take commissions, they still only "open" commissions when they feel like it or if they get some extra time, etc, so it is hard to keep track of them all, lol. If I happen to notice anything about commissions in a new journal post from any of the artists I watch, I'll remember to send you a message,
