A better picture of Basinah the first picture I ever drew of her actually.

And oh shit she’s actually in her uniform too! I half assed this to bits just to get the idea of her out of my head. Her belt is shooped and so is her gun.... I fail at drawing weapons so I shooped that shit in there *cheater , cheater pumpkin eater* but needless to say she’s another one of my TF2 OC's and she’s my heavy.

Basinah was originally arranged to be married off to some rich old fart with 4 other wives to become part of his harem, she was not having that but there really wasn't much she could do about it since women have next to no input on the subject. Luckily for her before she vows could be exchanged, Basinah was saved from her fate by a brigade of animal rights activists ( apparently some dodgy shit was going on with the camels... I dunno) among those activists was Emmy ( ~celluloid-dreamer 's girl Scout ) who whisked her away and recruited her into the army ( recruited her into other things as well seeing as how they fell in love shortly after and are dating now )

Basinah adapted pretty well to the military only facing minor discrimination. And none if it was because she was a women...or because she was Arab... it was because she's fat. The recruiter at the office told her "the army doest accept overweight people in their service." Basinah's response to him was " I think you mean to say you don't accept weak people in your service" and she proceeded to pass every psychical requirement the army could throw at her with flying colors obtaining a waiver to serve and it was no contest what class she was assigned too... the military needed big people to carry big weapons and Basinah fit the role perfectly.

Basinah loves her job and her scout, she cooks for her team and keeps everyone in line ( fuck, she’s probably one of 2 people on base whose not completely retarded) her English still isn't 100% but she’s a fast learner. Not a fast ducker though seeing as how she’s been shot numerous times, how she’s still alive is anyone’s guess.

Fun facts: her name ... Basinah means "kitten" in Arabic ... oddly fitting since outside of war she’s a pussy cat. And her guns name is "Rick" ...I don't know why.
