I had something similar happen to me.
A former friend was wearing this shirt that was the thumbnail to some YouTuber's video (she had it because it had one of the Gorillaz on it) so I went up to her and made a reference to that YouTuber and she looked at me like I was crazy.
I have no idea how she found that shirt cause, like I said, it was the thumbnail to the video. I kinda have a theory that she just got the image off of google and put it on the shirt but I don't know.
I'm baffled by that encounter.

I just had this happen today, I am wearing my Vault 111 shirt and a guy was trying to talk to me. (With my mother in law giggling at him a bit) He knew nothing of the game, and assumed I didn't either so tried to talk himself up. Thought just because I am a chick that I just wore the clothes haha. Lord it was hilarious.

If you wear a Shirt with a game Logo on it you better know at least the basics, the same goes for Band Shirts. Either you listen to that Band or you don't wear their merch. Either you Play the game or you don't wear the fucking merch just because 'it looked cool'
