Your 'in any other story he'd be the hero' comment made me think if a blogpiece I once read about the disney version of beauty & the beast. It stated that for most of the movie, Gaston was only one step away from becoming the actual hero of the movie. Yes, he was a dumb and annoying oaf at the start, but so many heroes start out like that in the beginning of (disney) movies!
At many points in the movie, an easy turning point could have been inserted where he would have turned into the hero. (like saving Belle from the wolves, or he could have believed Maurice and try to save Belle)

That's a really good point, actually. Besides being borderline rapey to Belle in that one isolated scene, he didn't really come across as a villain - just a fratboy douche who might grow out of it depending on what he experiences later in life. I've known plenty of guys like him and most reached their 40's much better people than in their spoiled 20's. The ones that didn't turned into Al Bundy. Much more dangerous to themselves than others.

Love the dynamic interaction on this page . . . you do such a good job showing how the characters feel about each other without a lot of words. You have an amazing talent and I am justifiably jealous.

The trick is to put the emotion and expressions coming from the characters as the #1 priority, rather than following typical comic niceness. It leads to a rougher looks but it's more relatable.
Pay special close attention to people - both people you know and strangers - like you're an alien. Pretend that you don't have any preexisting assumptions about human nature or social structures/expectations. Suddenly you'll start to see the little things people do to communicate that we're only partially aware of.

Yeah, I realized that this particular game would need a keyboard halfway through colorin' it. In the original creepypasta it's a text-based game, which obviously can't be played with a joystick and buttons. It was a last minute "Aw I fucked up" that I decided to run with and keep pointing out how it's a dumb idea for laughs.

At first I thought that Ian would say "I don't like Arcade. I LOVE them".
Anyway page is full of life and with rather funny Corelle and Ian action, but last cadr seems more next page will be more serious. That's feel propably because of characters mimic and more serious behaviour from Quentin's side.
And after reading description for this page my feels toward last cadr seems right.
And yes heroes whose hunts monsters mostly became partialy monsters themself.

He pretty much is. He's developed some serious neurotic problems (these get explained, don't worry) over the years but he's a sweet guy.

Whoa!!! I'm so excited to meet the villain!!!! Also Viktor is hot XD and I am still in love with how you are characterizing Corelle! You can kind of see traces of how clueless socially she is, but she's confident and doesn't realize it and you convey that so subtly that I love it

He sure is.
We've really fallen in love with writing Corelle. She was pretty straightforward in the beginning since she had a firm goal to focus on but now that she's allowed to relax all her fun aspects can come out.
She's the kind of person who would say, "Life is short, I'm socially awkward as hell, I have no hands, but I got two 10 minute passes to this here bouncy castle, so are you gonna take your shoes off or what?"

I predict that the villain is one of the tripping hippies. Maybe the one who had the conspiracy theory about the robotics company and kicked Corelle out for defending them. He seems like a man with a cause who might be the hero in some stories....
