The Fab Four No. 8 – Invada and the Fab 5. Its finally feels like

spring time in the city of Philadelphia. This Saturday, many of

its citizens are out shopping, jogging or just enjoying the long

awaited harm, sunny environment. The resident hero, Ultimate

Power is no exception, making his daily patrol of the area a

few hours earlier than usual. Typically, the calm is disturbed by

a call for help in the distance. On investigation, Ultimate Power

discovers the problem. The city's draw bridge is up, but dropping

rapidly on to a passing ship in the river. The ship will not be

able to stop in time. Relieved this is an easy emergency, the

agent of justice rushes to stop the ship, but notices his ultimate

speed is not so ultimate at the moment. Out of nowhere, a

crimson blur shots by and heads toward the bridge, but who ever

it is, can only lift one end of the double side. Ultimate Power

continues his efforts to stop the endangered ship. Using most

of his ultimate strength, he holds the vessel's bow, and pushes in

its opposite direction of travel. The ship stops a few yards short

of the half section of the draw bridge which had fallen. He

sees that one of the bridge's massive hydraulic lifts was severely

damaged, and make temporary repairs. Then Ultimate Power

is approached by a young woman, dressed in a red costume.

She calls herself Invada, and politely apologizes, but she is new

to the superhero business, and didn't realize stopping the ship

made more sense than pushing up half a bride. Then she flies

off before Ultimate Power can say a word. He is mildly concerned

about his lack of speed and strength, but feeling better, and he

proceeds to check on the ship's crew. The following month its

time for the Fab Four Meeting in Philly. All are well in Europe, Asia

and Africa, according to Falcon Heart and Tecnicus, as are North

America, Mexico, the Hawaiian Islands and South America by

Arctic Wolf and Ultimate Power's report. As the team is about

to return to their respective homes, Ultimate Power mentions his

encounter with the young Invada. Surprisingly all of the other Fab

members recount similar meetings with this strange new hero in

different parts of the globe. She aides Arctic Wolf in a bank

robbery in Vancouver using similar powers as himself. Tecnicus

is helped by her with a disabled plane over Rome, while Falcon

Heart recalls Invada with wings lending a hand with a rock slide

in a small town near the Swiss Alps. Fearing this is much more

than a coincidence Ultimate Power head's to the near-by

communication station to check with other heroes, but suddenly

feels weakened. The other Four feel the strange sensation as

well, just as Invada enters the meeting room. Wondering why

the alarms haven't been tripped, Invada explains why she's

there and how her powers work. She tells the team she is the

daughter of a geneticist, who was altered before birth. She can

read the bio-energy of males and “barrow' there power and/or

abilities at will. The process leaves the donor temporally drained,

but she gains their strength until she leaves or breaks the bond.

The Four Base alarms didn't sound because she also retains some

of the Fab's DNA signatures. The doors open thinking its one of

the team. Invada also proclaims her intention to join the Fab

Four as their fifth member. All are shocked, and Tecnicus tells

Invada, he started the Fab Four after a creature named Ynot

the Terrible threatened to destroy life on Earth. They remained

a team because of the brotherhood they shared. The Fab

isn't currently looking for new members. Invada holds out her

hand to Tecnicus and asks for permission to join again, which

he then falls to the floor. Ultimate Power rushes to his son's

aide while the others move on Invada, but she creates an

expanding bubble shield which knocks Falcon Heart and the

Arctic Wolf back against a wall. Ultimate Power fires his

optic beams, but is unable to penetrate her shield. For a

third time, Invada asks the team for permission to join their

ranks. The three members astonishingly agrees, then the

teen marvel recovers. The Fab members explain to Tecnicus

how much better it would be with Invada on the team.

Puzzled, he disagrees, and tries to use his powers on the

intruder, but this time she touches Tecnicus, who then

submits. Invada then calls a meeting of the new Fab Five,

and announces their first mission will be to save the citizens

of Philadelphia from themselves. They have become too

complacent with their meaningless lives, and need to focus

on their new Sovereign...Invada. Philadelphia was once the

capital of America, and it will be again, under the rule of the

Fab Five. If Arctic Wolf, Falcon Heart, Ultimate Power and

Tecnicus have all fallen to the will of Invada, how will she be

stopped, and how is she able to control them? Answers will be

revealed in the next informative issue of The Fab Five?
