Description

Fab Four Issue No. 4 – Captured!  Its cold in the winter, but for

those in Ontario, Canada, cold could be an understatement.

Fortunately for one individual, the cold means nothing.

Finishing his patrol, Erik, as the heroic Arctic Wolf, heads home

to prepare for classes tomorrow.  As fate would have it, an

explosion rocks a small town near the lake shore.  He's a

kilometer away, but his keen hearing and sense of smell

alerts him to the danger.  The Arctic Wolf storms in to

investigate, and lend assistance.  In less than a minute he

arrives at an abandoned mill town.  The wolf boy can smell

the burning wood, some unfamiliar chemicals, and a person.

He feels it a trap, but not sure if its been set for him, or

someone else.  As the fur on the back of his neck stands

up, he also feels  on coming heat from behind.  Leaping

out of the way, Arctic Wolf sees its no ordinary heat source.

Its the American villain, Evening Star.  He's heard of her,

but never encountered her...let alone fought her.  He calls

on his wolf-strength and agility to dodge Evening Stars

deadly black fire bolts.  He's at a loss to understand why

Evening Star's in Ontario, or why she's attacking him, but

she must be stopped before one of her bolts starts a fire.

Still using his acrobatic abilities, Arctic Wolf gets close

enough to take the vile woman off her feet.  He jumps

over her, with claws to the ready.  The fight is won, but

Evening Star only smiles.  Suddenly the wolf boy gets

that same chemical odor, but before he can act, he is shot

from behind from an energy weapon.  As he laps into

unconsciousness, he hears Evening Star telling his attacker,

“Now you have them all!”  The next morning in Philadelphia,

the winter air is stirred by a small flying figure.  The young

member of the Galactic Union, Pyj, is back on Earth for

a surprise visit, but no one is on duty at the Philly base.

Checking the message logs, he learns his friend and

mentor Ultimate Power is over at the new Fab Four base

not far away.  Seconds later at the F4 base, he finds it

empty as well, but he can hear a dog barking.  On screen

Pyj sees a large dog in silver gear.  He feels something is

wrong, and tracks the dog's signal to Belgium.  Flying

there he finds an identical F4 base as in Philadelphia.  On

entering Pyj finds the barking dog and a woman, Tine.

Tine explains that she believes Ultimate Power was attacked

and Tamaz, her dog, witnessed the attack via the view

screen.  Her husband, Falcon Heart, and ward, Tecnicus

left hours ago to help, but she's not heard from them.  Tine

explains to Pyj, she was hoping Tamaz could track down

his master, but she didn't want to leave the communications

station.  Pyj agrees to take the dog to find Falcon Heart, but

before he could react, Tamaz uses his power to transport

Pyj and himself right to Falcon Heart's location.  They find

themselves in a large complex, with many strange devises

and controls.  Tamaz runs into another room where Pyj

discovers the dog has found all of the Fab Four, locked

away in transparent tubes.  Not knowing if  smashing the

tubes would do more harm than good, Pyj looks for a control

system that would free the heroes.  Without warning the

villainous Evening Star enters.  Pyj has met her before

while with Ultimate Power, she is very powerful and deadly,

but she is unaware of Tamaz.  The intelligent hound knocks

her to the floor, she recovers and fires at Tamaz, who quickly

'pops' out of the way of her bolt.  A battle then breaks out between

Pyj and Evening Star.  During the fight a control button is hit

freeing the Four.  Weakened and confused, the Fab Four assesses

the situation and joins the fight.  Evening Star sees she is out

matched and escapes through a secret panel, only to

reappear in front of the Four and Pyj with Tamaz, who saw

her escaping and teleported her back.  The Four questions

the villain, and learns she was hired by the Horde.  Apparently

this mysterious organization needed the Fab Four out of the

way.  Evening Star can not or will not say why.  Pyj is willing

to take Evening Star to the authorities, while the Four tries

to figure out who the Horde are and why they would need the

Fab Heroes out of the way.  Tecnicus orders Tamaz back to

the base, as the team discovers they are in Helchteren,

Belgium, not far from their base, at all.  More questions fill

their heads than answers, but one thing is certain...the

Horde is coming, and they better be prepared.  Who are the

Horde?  Why hold the Fab Four...and why in Helchteren?

Find out in the next awesome issue of the Fab Four!

was a little anti-climactic but a full story script would probably help that a lot, the covers are till wonderful though.
