Fab Four Issue #10-Madness of the Wizard King [The OC, Wizard King is the creation of MissManz,

It was a very rough day for the centuries old hero Falcon Heart. Yesterday he performed a mid air
rescue of a Romanian cargo plane, located a downed whether balloon in Holland, saved rein deer from
a forest fire in Russia, and solved a cold case in Brussels. Normally he would have had help from
his partner, and fellow Fab Four member Tecnicus, but he's away visiting a friend in the Philippine Islands. After a hot bath he took a well deserved rest, with his wife Tine. The next morning he awoke
alone. He had no worries, his wife would often get up to check on Tamez, their dog, or read the remote links to the Fab Four world scanners, but he usually hears her, or Tamez...today there isn't a
sound. As he gets up to check, the remote link to the FF Base sounds. He rushes into his uniform
and off to the base. In less than a minute, Falcon Heart is there, but all he hears is laughter from the
rec room. Inside there are the other Fab members, Technicus, Arctic Wolf and Ultimate Power.
When asked why everyone is in the rec room, Ultimate Power dismisses the question and tells
Falcon Heart of a threat to all of Eastern Europe. An underground military force is staged throughout
the region to take over key points in multiple countries. Puzzled, Falcon Heart explains he monitors
the political landscape of Europe and Asia. This is the first he's heard of this moment. Just then an
alarm goes off. In the communications center, the team reassembles...its Chrome Dome. He's
attacking the London Tower. The Four race to the sky light exit...minus Falcon Heart. He wonders
why the team has apparently forgotten the reason they gathered in the first place. As he exits, the
Four flies toward the north...the wrong direction, and Arctic Wolfs is flying as well. This can't be
real! The sky turns black, and the air is filled with a sadistic laugh, that hurts his ears. The voice tell
him that the other Fab Four members are the prisoners of the Wizard King...master of reality.
The Wizard King appears in the void before Falcon Heart. Huge, with a purple inhuman face, smiling
from one side of his face to the other. A gleaming gold crown atop his head and a black, gold and
crimson cape attached to spiked shoulder harness, with no visible body. Falcon Heart demands the
return of his team mates, but is met with only laughter again. The Wizard King tells the winged wonder
his services are needed, or the Four will die. To prove his sincerity, the Wizard places Arctic Wolf in
front of Falcon Heart. The wolf boy is beaten and almost lifeless. He pleads to his bird-like partner
to free him, but the Wizard King's disembodied hands raise and glows. Falcon Heart discovers he
can no longer move. The hands envelops the Arctic Wolf, as the hero lets out a final howl. Then it
becomes silent. Falcon Heart is reminded to obey the Wizard King, or the other Fab members will
fall the same fate as Arctic Wolf. In a flash, Falcon Heart finds himself at home in Helchteren, Belgium.
He is instructed to destroy a great evil in the town. If he does this, the Four (minus one) will be
freed. This great evil will step off a bus within seconds, and Falcon Heart has to act immediately.
The bus arrives and only a young girl steps off. In his head Falcon Heart hears the commands of the
Wizard King..."Destroy her...destroy her now!" The girl walks by Falcon Heart and into a near by
school. "You missed your chance...now they all die!" Falcon Heart is taken to a shore where he sees
families and beach combers. Running toward him is Tecnicus, but a much younger version in his
hero uniform. Playing together are a young Ultimate Power and toddler...Arctic Wolf. Just as the
winged warrior picks up the very young Tecnicus, he hears a scream. A huge wave barrels towards
the beach...in seconds it will obliterate everything in its path. Falcon Heart can save Tecnicus, but
not much else. Then he stops and smiles. He takes to the air and flies directly toward the killer
wave. As he hits it he can hear his wings break under the pressure...then blackness. Seconds later
he finds himself back in his bedroom in uniform. He hears his wife in the shower and his dog Tamez
at the back door. He knows it was no dream, for he is still wet with sea water. Out in the front
yard he sees the Wizard King. In the yard the crazed monarch asked him how he knew the wave
won't kill him. Falcon Heart explained that there were too many faults in the illusion. The Fab Four's
atypical behavior, unrealistic events at home, the young girl not giving a winged man a second glance,
and other abnormalities. Falcon Heart asked the Wizard King why he did what he did to him. The
King explained that his powers in this world were limited, and he needed Falcon Heart out of the way,
but he will have to do it another way...a way that is in motion as he speaks. The Wizard continues,
that all of his friends are safe for now, but Earth will soon be his play thing, and the Fab Four will be
powerless to stop him. In a flash of light, Falcon Heart is back in his room, still wet, when the phone
rings. Its Tecnicus calling from the Philippines. He wants the Four to gather there, but its no emergency. Falcon Heart kisses his wife and tells her he has to fly, but he faintly hears someone
laughing as he heads skyward. What exactly is the Wizard King, and what did he mean when he
said he had a way in motion to get rid of Falcon Heart? Can Falcon Heart trust anything he sees or
feels? And what's happening in the Philippines? Answers will be revealed in the upcoming issues
of the Fab Four!
