If you could scale the text a bit larger, that'd make reading all this text much easier to read. You have so much dead space that could be used up for your text, yet the bubbles look as though they're only the default size. Reading this on a 1080p 22in. monitor is kind of difficult without squinting.

I apologize for that. Part of it may be just due to how much I want to say and whether or not I consider it large enough. Just for that, I'll make it larger next comic

I think I'll follow these, and like I said, if you ever decide to do a comic about Asperger's, I'd be interested in helping with that as I have it.

Considering how many people use the word 'austistic' as an insult online, and try to humiliate people with the disability, it's good to see something that might actually take the high road.

I think I've said this before, but the only thing I'd like to say is that I don't think you should be calling it a disability since it's the exact opposite.
One of the only things Autism does is make the owner mentally age at a faster rate than normal which makes it a good and even desirable condition. Dis-ability implies it's bad or unwanted.

Well, I don't mean to imply it in a negative context. Part of it is me just using the title associated with it.

I thought the whole purpose of this thing was to clear up things like misconceptions and false associations about autism.

Actually, after thinking over it: What I mean by Disorder is not necessarily that it's a hindrance. In actuality, I see it more as just "different from usual."
I do agree disability does imply it is unwanted, in the case of Autism I see it differently. I plan to use this quote actually in the next comic, but I think Temple Grandin said it best like this: "Autism is a way of life."

Pokirby In reply to Captainface [2015-01-15 10:10:22 +0000 UTC]
Saying that it's a way of life is even more problematic.
People with autism, like myself, don't like acknowledging we have it for a very specific reason; It automatically makes people think we're different and it makes them treat us differently when we're anything but.
Imagine admitting you're an atheist to a group of christians; Even if you act like it's no big deal because you know it isn't, the others won't care and lose interest in you anyways.
In short, describing this inconsequential intelligence and maturity boost the same way you would describe religions isn't helping stop misconceptions. We're fine being mentally better than others, but we still just wish this whole thing didn't exist. The labels (yes, lables) we've been given like Autistic or Ausie has made people treat us differently our entire lives.

Isn't Aussie a term for Australians, not autistics?

Oh, wait. I meant to say "Aspy". I somehow got the two mixed up.

It is..I suppose I should just refer to it as autism then. Thanks for pointing that out

Not a bad intro; the text was a bit small, but you did a reasonable job varying the panels. As someone at the high end, I look forward to seeing more.

To be honest, I've always wondered if my text was big enough or not
