Frozen is not a bad movie, it is just not a good one, it not offensive to film making or common sense, but if you a failure of storytelling. If you say it ofull, your lying, if you say it's a masterpiece, you are lying even harder, but let me explain. The main problem with this film is that Elsa's story arc doesn’t real work when you put it into perspective, there obviously trying to be like Wicked in seeing a story throw the eyes of a villain, but Elsa don't do anything morally wrong, and everyone tries her so nicely that you wonder why she turs her back on society the why she doses. And the hold "Hans being bad" thing doesn’t work because (as Film theory pointed out) it's out of nowhere and forced. So, for this rewrite, I wanted to keep some of the movie main feature while making the story more cohesive. If you prefer the original, that cool (put not intended) just don't insult anyone who disagrees with you like Nostalgia Critic and Film theory.

1; Have Elsa be raised by the Trolls and being evil until the halfway point

My first intention with this rewrite was to fix Elsa's arc and make it so that her feelings of abandonment and "isolation" make more sense. I got the idea from Familiar Faces’ video on Olaf when he pitched the idea that Elsa would stay with the troll it master her powers and when her parents never come back she became angry and bitter, costing her to become the Snow Queen of Hans Christion Andersons's story. She's more like the Phantom of the Opera, morally wrong but sympathetic. This version of Elsa isn't necessarily evil, all she wants is to be left alone and want to protect the forest and all who inhabit it.

2: Only reveal that Anna and Elsa a sisters until they meet in the Ice Palace

I did this not for the sake of dream, but because Elsa's back story only works in flashback. I'll got into more detail when I get to number four, but all I'll say now is, I crats the illusion that this is just another Disney movie until the end.

3: Get rid of the Duke and have Hans slowly be revealed as the villain who wants to overthrow the monarchy.

This fixes the second biggest problem with this movie, Hans. his sudden betrayal is so out of left field that the film doesn’t real have a main villain. As for the Duke, there is virtually no reason for his to be there, you could cut him out and miss nothing. In this version, you get the sense that Hans is evil by the way he treats everyone else apart from Anna, he's heartless, manipulative, short tempered and impatient. Also, in this version, Hans attacks the palace after the "For the first time in forever (reprise)" scene which is provided by Anna retuning to the Arendelle. Here, Ann see's first hands how evil Hans is and instead of wanting to be king, he want to be dictator because he this era's version of a communist.

4: Move Elsa’s backstory and “Let It Go” to after the song “For the First Time in Forever (Reprise)

This is why I have Anna and Elsa being sister a twist. When you real think about it, the scene where Christof introduces Anna to his family it doesn’t work because we already know that the rocks are alive some why should we think that Christof is crazy. So, putting their story and Elsa into a flashback not only make that see make more sense, but also helps Elsa as well. Let It Go should come after a big emotional scene and doesn’t really work at the beginning. So now it happens after Elsa thinks that her parents have abandoned her making the song mean a lot more.

5: Add the Elementals and the explanation for Elsa’s powers from Frozen 2

This version is slightly darker in tone than the original but still keeps some of the whizzy, think of it like Disney's version of Price of Egypt. I also wanted to explain how Elsa got her powers in this version so I adda the explanation from the sequel into this movie, as well as some of the strange creature from that movie in to this one. In this version, there is a bit more time between Anna leaving Arendelle and her meeting Elsa at the Ica Palace, so in between them, the trio have some strange encounters.
