Whenever a Chimera-Class was commissioned at any shipyards across the Federation, most Human or Telorite engineers would say "All right people! Liston up, Command gave us a 'Ugly Challenge' to build." Primarily, because most Chimera-Class ships where build for combat performance rather then "luxury liners" like the Ambassador-Class or Galaxy-Class vessels. However the Chimera-Class could withstand heavy fire from enemies, covering larger vessels and transports to retreat. The overall design was heavy based on old style Andorian vessels and slightly influenced by the Miranda-Class.
