I'd like to see what an excelsior class would have looked like in "Of Gods and Men" The only thing is that I'd like for the ship to be called the G.S.S.Β Moriarty GOC-2008

If it had been built, that special weapons pod wouldn't have been on it. It was only given to the Enterprise (called the "Conqueror" in the alternate timeline). Not even the newer/bigger ships (i.e. the dreadnaught) had it.

I know, I wasn't thinking of it having an Omega Device Launcher, I was thinking of the ship being a testbed for Trilithium Devices, Last resort weapons if Terrorist bases are located on any planets, The Procedure is that if a terrorist baseΒ is located on a planet in any star system, A trilithium device is launched into the star to destroy everything in the system.
