Description The Langley Class Carrier is a Pre TOS design by John W. Leys.

Note: I had to make the ship slightly larger than originally designed, as it was too small to launch anything but shuttle pods and worker bees. And I used Masao Okazaki's Pre-TOS paint scheme, to keep it consistent with the rest of my "fleet".

I love the exposed warp nacelles. These designs could have easily been built even in Enterprise. Starfleet would have needed cheaper, combat oriented ships, and these would have been relatively easy to construct. They would have been useful for bolstering the defenses of Sector 001.

Very cool! I just ran across this and love what you did with the original design. Nice!

Thank you. Glad you like it. If I'd known you had an account here, I would have asked first.

No worries! I'm just flattered that you thought enough of the original to do this with it.

Any plans on posting any of your designs to your gallery?

You know, until you mentioned it, I didn't realise I only had one ship in my gallery. I haven't done any Trek designs in a while, but when I have some time I'll post some of the old ones.

That would be kewl. Though I do like your Yorktown...Even if all the parts are different scales.

Ok I've seen the deck plans for ships in this era and I have one question.

Are they (the decks) laid out the same way on this ship [link] , or are they like in very later ships like the Good old 1701 Enterprise.

My guess is it has stacked decks, like the Daedalus.

Looks good.

Masao must be proud, so many people following his footsteps nowdays.
