You could do a variation of this where you replace the hangers with Phaser Turrets and cannons for broadside action, though with phasers the broadside barrages are not likely to miss and I doubt even the Klingon's most up-to-date battlecruiser to last long under such a barrage. Or that version could be a Mirrorverse Version

That's up to the owner of the design. Though I can't see why you'd want no hangers. The Feds love their shuttles. Same with the Terrans...Though theirs are assault shuttles.

Nice Carrier design. It has a vary original look about it. I also like the utility of its design.
I can tell that it has a small crew size, and is not made of long range. Such a ship would probably be a part of a battle group, or would need escorts much like a real Aircraft Carrier. Otherwise, its still a vary useful ship.

Well as it's class implies...It's a fast assault ship. In and out, when not part of a group.

Wouldn't "assault" imply that it is used primarily for amphibious operations? If so, Fast Attack Carrier might be more suitable. Just thought I'd point that out. It's a really cool design.

It IS a space "Navy". So assault still applies. Star Fleet tends to use the two terms interchangeably. Though not a hard and fast rule, they use "Assault" more for Carriers and Transports, and Fast Attack for Frigates, Destroyers, and the smaller Cruisers. You need to remember that most ship designers tend to be fans

Yep, no one liked Johnson. He was supposed to have been assassinated too, but his assailant chickened out. When he became president, he continued reconstruction, but was very harsh on the South. Lincoln would actually have been nicer, had he not been killed. Another interesting note, Johnson was the first president to be impeached, but was spared in the end by a single vote.
