Description
The Constitution Class Heavy Cruiser was what the Enterprise was in the original Star Trek series. This is the Abrams Universe "TOS" version. Design inspired from Madman1701a's Defiant mesh.Related content

Kewl. Going to be doing anything different? Or the basic Enterprise-B refit?

Am I the only one here who thinks THIS should have been the ship in ST TMP?

The neck looks positively fragile... like it would snap in the first serious combat maneuver (technically that's a problem with the original Connie and Con-Refit designs as well).

Nice, quite liked the look of this one when my husband ( iconkaranua ) had it in lightwave. Much better than the one used in the film to my mind.

I've seen quite a few fan made versions that were better that what was in the movie.

Hey captshade!
Is there anyway that I could request one of these but on as the Constellation Ncc 1017?
Just wondering and thanks

I'd say this is closer to the original design than the Abrams Universe version.
The Abrams Constitution has more rounded, fish-shaped nacelles, and is less angular all over than the original design.

I can't help but think that the NuEnterprise's similarities to the refit version might be because they basically tried to invent and incorporate 2270s tech in the 2250s.
might also explain why the ships are bigger.

Based off of someone elses design. He was going for a nice mix of the two. As some are trying to merge the two, so later designs (Excelsior and later) don't have to be modded to heavily.

That makes sense.
I get the feeling in the next Star Trek film we're going to see some fairly funky re-imaginings of ships (my guess would be Klingon) based off of the technology of Nero's ship, the Narada.
