Description
The Ingram Class Space Control Ship is a design by Todd Guenther and Jason Genser as part of the TMP era "Expanded Universe" .Note: Not only is this an update to match the rest of my TMP ships. It's redoing the size, tomore accurately represent the actual design.

I agree with CaptShade. They should have kept her style. Thanks for bringing her back for everyone.

My gosh! I haven't seen the Ingram since the 80's. I picked up a schematic at an old ST conversation in Philly. Nice to see she's not forgotten.

Be interesting if they'd kept her.

I have to see all the CGI versions your other fans have mentioned.

There are full-rez CGΒ artworks of this vessel online. Seems this was the original propostion for Excelsior (an outsizedΒ Enterprise design), but it was rejected in favor of the design we all saw in ST:III

Yup...To bad, they didn't keep the design for later.

Very well done! I discovered the Ingram-class space control ship's prints a while back, and when I was doing what ultimately turned out to be a fan-made Excelsior test type for the 2009 Alternate Reality, I used the Ingram as an inspiration. I've seen some good CGI renderings of this ship, too, and I'm still hoping to see her appear in a fan film or game mod someday.

Thanks, very muck. I think they should have kept this design for the Excelsior.

I'm kinda torn. The Ingram looks more compact and businesslike - she looks a bit tougher than the Excelsior, actually. But the finished Excelsior seems to look a little taller and more elegant, and I'm not very fond of the way the Ingram's "neck" seems to be pointing in the wrong direction. She's still one of my favorites, though, along with the rest of the Excelsior family (the Excelsior is my favorite science fiction space ship of all time).

A little less graceful than the Excelsior but she's still cool!

Yeah. Huge saucer section. I think this was the original design idea for the Excelsior.

Interesting variant, I remember seeing a 3d model of this one.

Went off of the old 1986 blueprints. Supposedly the original design that the Excelsior was going to be. But they made some modifications and the Excelsior Class was born. Only ship of the class made, was the Ingram.
All later Ingram Class ships were variants and sub-classes, such as the Odysseus Class.
