I have witnessed bigger and brighter strikes, including a daytime fireball, but this is the largest strike I have manged to capture on camera so far.
I am currently working on the video of the whole sequence but I am having trouble adding music for some reason. If anyone can recommend a good, free video editing program then please let me know. In the meantime you can find my first humble star timelapse attempt here [link]

Hope you made a good wish. Don't tell anyone what it was though, it won't come true. That is a beautiful photo. I love it.

Thank you very much Shaun I would have loved that strike when the Milky Way was a bit highewr in the sky and not so close to the trees, but hey- can't have everything. All in all I think I caught around about 20 strikes over the two and a half hours or so. There is even another smaller strike in this image but it is only really visable on the full size version.

Welcome
Eh, nothing terrible in that fact. I'm trying to capture it on the roof of 9th floor flat-builing.
City.. Full illumination of light and etc. For my film-camera "Zenit"(I prefer film camera for astrophoto, because I haven't professional digital cameras for long shots) it's a lot to a long exposure shots(20-30 minutes). But I took not bad photo of Dragon constellation
