Description
© Greg Gibbs. You may not use, replicate, manipulate, or modify this image without my permission. All Rights Reserved.'The Rock' is a large outcrop of mainly quartzite that rises 360m above the Riverina plains of southern NSW, Australia. It was originally called 'Hanging Rock' after the large boulder which overhang the eastern face (left), but when this boulder, well, stopped hanging in 1874, the name of it (and the town that resides next to it) was changed to simply 'The Rock'.
I have had this shot planned for quite a while but I had to wait until I had the right moon phase, weather and time of year. Shot at about 2am this morning with a last quarter moon just rising on the horizon behind me. 14 shot panorama.

This looks so cool. I wish I didn't live so close to a city so I could see stars better. Is it difficult to put 14 pictures together into one picture?
