Description Sketch commission for *bloodhound-omega . A Devilram (top) versus a Desert bird (bottom). Considering their physique and overall appearance, I would guess that the Desert bird doesn't stand a chance in hell, unless the Devilram is somehow floored so it can get away. I guess we'll never know ^^.

I'd say the Desert bird probably has a SLIM chance...but yeah, the Devilram is gonna kill it, haha. The only thing I see is the Desert bird's huge ass claws, right on the Devilram's stomach. Maybe a little downward slashy movement and BAM, intestines everywhere.

Augh, I just noticed I still haven't commented to this! D:

Snatching those sketches from you was such a damn lucky shot, I can't believe it! *bounces up and down* I know I keep repeating myself but your sense for anatomy and dynamics makes your work so lively, so full of action. There is always something going on, which captures the beasts so well!

This sketch is no difference. To me it's like those illustrations of a raptor interlocked with a Protoceratops. Amazing!!
And yeah, I agree, the battle seems unwvwn. *g* But the claws of the Desertbird are not to be underestimated and the underside of the Devilram is soft, so who knows how fortuna will play her cards on this one. ^^

well, I know both sides of the commission process well enough to try find a solution that works for both involved parties. *g* So far it seems to work out well. ^___^

The Desertbird does have huge Feet....so I imagine it can pack a powerful kick. The Devil ram, on the other hand, has hoofed feet and can only really rely on its freaky teeth to take out its victim.

I love this piece and its simplicity.

I'd say the bird has a fighting chance it could throw the devil ram off with its powerful legs, cause the devil ram is unstable have only one foot on the ground make him easy to topple. I love the idea seems like you left it up where as he the devil ram could win if he lands a powerful bite or the bird could get away it he kicks the devil ram off

This is awesome, I love the pose.
But I really digged those movement lines you had on their backlegs. It looks good how you drew them bold now too tho :3

Thanks Simander! I'm not sure which movement lines you mean (they may have been accidental scribbles) but I'm glad you still like it!
