Description HI all!! Here I've included a comprehensive list of every single mesh group in XNALara that Dusan put there, even the really shitty ones that no-one is ever going to use haha It contains details of how many, and which, textures you need for each mesh group. Particularly notable are the "STICKY LIGHT" groups 16, 17, 18 and 19 which, when lit, the light remains in the same place on the mesh part. ie the light sort of sticks to the mesh part so if you light one side of a cube and then rotate it, the same side will stay lit. And also I found group 20, which is for next-gen clothes with alpha, woooo!!!!! Also you've got 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 which don't react to bones, they just stay still. It's used for environments like TRL Croft Manor Hall so that you can't rotate it, although I would've liked to tbh.

I've tried all this and my model is just black if I use 30 I see color but only the spec any thing else makes it either very black or transparent. I did check everything with notepad++ and everything checks out. I don't know what's the issues.

Nevermind it appears if you export from 3d max you have to make sure you disable material editor export under advance.

By the way, why when I make a render group 24 to 25, XPS does not create a lightmap? But I must include that when the model has render group 24, there is only one lightmap called "L" and work for all the mesh parts.. What can I do ?

Is the model just appearing as black? Your lightness may be too bright.

Emm... Not exactly, the model is appearing with, I mean with its colors, but I can't get a face or scalp or whatever with its lightmap...

Is your specularity map too bright or too dark maybe?

Excellent!!
I've been planning to make a guide for myself for a long time but procrastination/distraction always got the better of me...
so THANK YOU! Definitely printing this out and pinning it somewhere next to my monitor, woohoo!

28 and 29 works in xnalara? I thought those were an xps feature?

On further testing 28 and 29 don't work in XNALara or XPS. XNAaraL has informed the general population of the world that I am spreading lies by saying this (he does so love to be dramatic), but I can assure you I have tested both groups several times with 2 versions of XPS, and the relevant mesh part simply does not load.
