Description I really wish I knew how *BechnoKid imagines he lost his eye...

...ah! What am I doing? …Trying to paint something other than a background, for the first time, that’s what. You can thank *forte-girl7 for this. She’s been doing all that painting, so I wanted to have a go as well. So here you have human!AUTO, again, in semi-realism. I wanted to draw him without all his headgear, as open and vulnerable as he’s going to get, so I apologize if the missing eye creeps you out. No references for this, and not for lack of trying, but it's apparently just really hard to find pictures of people missing eyes sans their eyepatches.

One layer, apart from background, and not resized in any way.

This is great, but I feel bad for him.

My goodness, both you a Forte are periodically blowing me away with your painted works, simply marvellous. the shapes are so clean, yet textured to a degree that allows the freedom of movement, not simply colors in specific places, but entities themselves.

I'm sorry I sound so floyant, I just wrote an academic letter, but truly, these are marvellous, really.

I'm thinking this is what he'd look like fairly early in the morning, just having his coffee in the comfort of his private quarters. Until of course you walk in. Then glare fests commence.

X-MEENNN. That was a killer movie, and Michael Fassbender (Magneto) wasn't so bad a treat. l3

...I've been away from college too long. I have only the vaguest idea of what you are saying in the first paragraph. |D But thank you!

...Coffee! *clapclap* XD

So many of the guys in that movie were easy on the eyes. But you're right--Magneto was always one of my favorites before, and Michael Fassbender did him Great Justice.

Obviously he poked his own eye out on accident while writing something in a hurry. Remember to safely grip your pencils when writing!

*Imagines a pencil flying out of Auto's hand poking him in the eye then throwing itself out a window to escape*

On a somewhat more serious note I think the creepyness factor from the lack of eye comes from the lack of eyelids. Before I read the description I was like : O No hat!? Madness! Then I actually read it then was like Oh. Makes more sense. Still like seeing human Auto.

I shouldn't laugh at your comment....but I did.

So pencils hate AUTO?

Yeah. I could only find one instance of a guy missing an eye + lid and that was the guy from the battle of Helm's Deep in The Two Towers film (I remember that made me sort of jump in the theatre), and the lighting was just too stark for it to be of any use. Pity. But that was an interesting case to read about--apparently the filmmakers liked the effect of that extra missing an eye and told him not to wear his patch for filming. He said having it off was a very cathartic experience.

Thank you for actually reading the Artist Comments. |D

Its ok to laugh. Laughing is a good thing.

Yes. Pencils MUST hate Auto. He obviously abuses the poor things to death

Ive seen a few people missing eyes with eyelids before But usually in a situation where they took it out themselves, they had a fake eye, or it was removed somewhere other than a hospital.

Thanks Im glad I have the ability to take the time to read.
