One thing I've learned about myself: if I say I will (or might) finish something soon, I'll finish it in at least a month from then, haha.As always, mech. pencil (HB) and 2H. I had a bit of trouble with Luna...Over the past year or so, my shading's gotten lighter and lighter. I used to be pretty kickass at drawing dark shades, but I'm not so used to it anymore. So, she was a bit of a struggle for me.
Oh, and anypony that says the horns look like a certain something that is not a horn, is going straight to the glue factory. On the moon.

I saw your new work up on Ponibooru this morning. I don't know how you do it; It's like you were born to draw. This is just so gorgeously detailed and finished.
I really adore the way you get the grooves around the eyes and ears. In fact, the eyes themselves have an incredible amount of sparkle in them.
I hope you've got some superb stuff planned for when series two starts. It's strange how little fan art there is for this new villain.
Anyway, I'm not trying to give you ideas (honest!), I just really admire your hard work. I'm fidgeting with anticipation for your next pony piece.

This is a brilliant piece of work, shading like this can be real hard to get done right and this piece does indeed stand on its own merits.

This is a lovely pic of Celestia and Luna, and the fact it's a pencil drawing makes it even lovelier! The hours (and hours and hours) spent drawing it! Such patience.

But really, if there's one thing I learned from drawing it's that you can't really compare yourself to others. Everyone does things so differently, and we've all got our niches that we excel in. Don't feel bad from looking at others' works, sooner or later they might be thinking the same things about something you do
