PLEASE FULL VIEW!(Scroll to the right half.)
Maybe one day when I'm crazy enough, I'll make a tutorial on the left half of that picture.
HOLY FREAK THIS TOOK WAY TOO LONG. I thought I'd take a nice, relaxing break from my chaotic Anime Expo preparations and have a go at my first tutorial, but nooooooo...this thing is more stressful than an actual drawing.
But seeing that I'm a PS newbie, I'm pretty glad that I was able to at least compile all this together. I guess I picked up some bits of Photoshop knowledge over the year after all. Would be sad if I didn't.
People have been asking me to do a tutorial for a long time now, and I apologize for taking next to forever to get around to it
Compressing 15 painful hours of sweat, cursing, and flinging objects into a 670×7637 pixel tutorial is no easy task. I'm kind of sad that I had to cut like 30 pictures (about 8 steps) off from the walk through. The thing is flippin' ginormous as it is, so I couldn't make it even larger D: And excuse my random doodles. I went a little nuts on the commentary too -_-;;
This is a thank-you gift for all of my watchers and friends online, and hopefully it'll be of some use to those of you who are starting out with markers :>
FAQ's
You can get Copics at local art stores (if you're lucky), and definitely online. Aside from a Japanese bookstore I go to, Kinokuniya, I also order them from online at [link] . THEY ARE NOT CHEAP. They can cost from $4.50 to $6.50 each, so shop smart :>
Manga manuscript, A4 size; I prefer Copic and Manga University brand. You can find these online too.
Lots of trial and error and lots of practice.
EDIT:
Um...holy crap. Another DD?! I never even dreamed of getting the first one. Thank you =AdigunPolack for your suggestion and kind words, and ^znow-white for featuring it! I appreciate it very much!

Where I live they cost $7 each, but they probably cost a bit less in America. Just like everything. XD

I got my first copic markers today, but didnt know about shades and stuff, so now i have 3 different colors.
and just because they are really expensive (like 4 euros each) i was only able to buy 3. I REALLY WANT AS MUCH MARKERS AS YOU!
I'd really wanted to be able to make such beautifull colored art. but now, i only have a black, yellow and brown marker, and i dont even know how to use them properly.
can somebody give me a little advise on this? there werent any sets availeble. i couldnt find it.
any help would be apreciated! thank you!

Hey ^^
I know i wont be much help (OTL) but if you want i could give you a couple of tips?
1. Buy a few markers of the same colour (e.g three different blues) so you could shade, this makes your picture less uh....flat(lol dunno what word to use xP). If you dont know what colours to get, ask around or check out the copic website, they should be able to give you a lot of help. If you're just starting to collect Copics, try to pick at least 3 colours of the same....family, for example B05, B07 and B09 rather than really different colours like B00, RV00 and YR15 cos in MY own opinion it makes your picture look rather bad...but like said its only my opinion, you can use whaever markers you want in any way you want ^^
2. If you can't find any sets around where you live, you can always try online ^^
Sometimes you can find really good deals (some good websites are eBay or amazon) cos
Copics are really,really....reaaally expensive QuQ
and plus online has lots of sets to buy
3. i dunno if this would help much but it helps if you colour in small circles cos it
keeps the ink wet so your picture wont look streaky(?)
Sorry if i ranted on for like an hour (I tend to do that a lot)but i hope (i really hope) this helped out ^^
(Longest comment of my life. QUQ *hand is dying*)

i used to have about 80 markers and then a girl stole them right before summer. Should've written my name on them, now she brings them to school and I have no proof that they're mine.
And also she is really bad at drawing..... also, you're amazing. My favorite DA artist, I had favorited all of your drawings on my old account. (I will do that sometime later)
Your book was also really really cool. You should make one with your tutorials in them! ---EL <3

Thats horrid! You should tell the girl's parents or your own parents. Stealing is illegal.

In Photoshop you can go over to the flash button (Under layers) and you can adjust the border from there (On a text layer)

Well you find copic markers at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. They cost like $7 at Hobby Lobby and 8 at Michael's but I don't think they fade. But as soon as you color the color you put on will look nothing like its supposed to until it dries. I hopr\e that helped Also this tutorial was very helpful. I don't have that many colors now so I can't really do the shadows and stuff yet :/
