I posted a deviation called Images & Words just because I wanted to know which of the 2 pair of lips I should use for my tutorial. Thanks to your votes Jensen is the winner. Go Jensen!
You may wonder why I'm posting a new tutorial because I obviously decided to quit posting these things. It happens that because of my study and commissions I don't have the time to publish an artbook.
At least not in the near future.And thanks to your AMAZING, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, LOVELY, INCREDIBLE, SWEET, FABULOUS feedback I always get on my deviations and journals, this is a huge thank you to everyone out there who helped me in times of need. <333333333333

you did a good job but i think you should have fosuced a little more attention on the area around the lips... like the little bit of light above an below the lip that a lot of people forget about.... but thats just a suggestion

I recognized the lips of jensen even before I openend the tutorial... I just thought; "oh, this is jensen right?" well, I was right and I'm very grateful for your tutorials...
I, too, draw realistic and I work since a long time on a ppicture of jensen... it's not that bad, but I just can't draw his lips, everytime I think I got them right I look at it in a different angle and it just looks wrong... so, I finished it but just the lips are missing -__-* it's sad I know

Also, hope the dentist wasn't too bad! I have to get teeth pulled as well, my mouth is apparently too small. Please say it was alright... I'm loathing my next dentist appointment.

Love the tutorial and the one thing that stood out that personally effects my work is the blending. I've always just blended with no consideration of blending with the curve of the lips.

yeah! nice tutorial!
i don't struggle with lips, but i can't get the nice lines like you do. If i try too hard they're super-dark and look like cracks (not always bad) or they aren't sharp enough, so the intended detail turns into blotchy shading
By the way, how long did this little drawing take? and how long should it take me?
