Disclaimer: Contrary to popular belief, at no point in time has the Doctor drowned in a vat of candy floss. Which of course isn't to say that at some point in time that might not come up.*Fingers crossed*
In other news I nominate Tom Baker to replace Matt Smith when he leaves. I know, I know I also nominated him to replace Simm as the Master but honestly I don't see why he can't do both.

Grace Holloway (accidentally) killed the Seventh Doctor by getting lost in his circulatory system. He tried to warn her not to do it, that he wasn't human butshe just thought that he was randomly babbling.

I'd like to see him play the Master myself.
Technically it's possible, given that they share a producer, they might not have identical film schedules. Short seasons on both the shows would aid that, nevermind that Matt Smith will likely still be playing the Doctor after Sherlock is over. Something, something something I don't anything about their stuff.
